(6 1/2 x 11 5/16 x 1 1/2 in.), black morocco, covers with mosaic design composed of thin strips of onlaid wood of various hues and grains arranged to form an abstract oval shape through which shoot rays of gilt fillets, smooth spine lettered in gilt, board edges gilt-ruled, light brown reversed calf doublures and liners, t.e.g., others gilt on the rough, original printed wrappers preserved, gilt-stamped "Devauchelle" on upper turn-in, morocco-edged suede-lined folding case, backstrip lettered in gilt. LIMITED EDITION, no. 142 of 177 copies of the regular issue on vélin de Montval, from the edition of 219 copies, including 12 copies hors commerce, signed by the author and artist, etched frontispiece (repeated once), 30 full-page etchings, of which 20 pure line etchings, by Picasso.
