A French ormolu and silvered metal vase-on-stand
Circa 1890
The vase with foliate-cast cover surmounted by a shield-bearing nereid, the Rococo-shaped body inset to each side with panel depicting Bacchic putti and a satyr, supported on figures of Adam and Eve, the scrolled foliate-cast handles mounted by a winged cherub above satyr monopodiae, on foliate and wing-cast feet; the associated stand with square chased top, above a scrolling foliate stem mounted with a putto and eagle, on triform base and scrolling foliate-cast feet
