The case with gabled roof and incised ornament, with shallow carved quatrefoils to the front and ring turned columns with spire finials to the angles, arched gilt-painted metal sound frets to the sides, with silvered Roman dial, the triple barrel movement quarter-chiming on eight nested bells and with hour strike on gong -- 19½in. (50cm.) high
