The case with wavy arched top and relief carved pilasters, the dial with foliate spandrels to a silvered chapter ring with matted centre, with subsidiary rings for slow/fast and chime/silent above with a mask mount between, the twin barrel movement with ting-tang strike on two gongs, backplate with punched mark for Winterhalder & Hofmeier -- 15½in. (39.5cm.) high
