The case with stepped and moulded base and top, glazed panels to front and sides, movement and dial hinged to front door, ormolu reeded and beaded bezel with white enamel Roman dial, outer concentric calendar ring, pierced and incised gilt-metal hands, with blued steel arrow calendar hand, signed a Paris in the centre, the twin barrel movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell, with gridiron pendulum; altered escapement -- 18¼in. (46.5cm.) high
