A Regency oak 30-hour longcase clock, first quarter 19th century
The hood with brass caps to swan neck pediment, outset columns, with wavy arch trunk door flanked by fluted three quarter pilasters, the plinth with raised panel with concave cut corners and on bracket feet, the 12½in. square white dial painted with shell spandrels, the white centre with rolling moon and subsidiary date ring, signed BARRACLOUGH HAWORTH (decoration refreshed, signature re-done), with cut steel hands, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell, pinned directly to the dial -- 87½in. (22cm.) high
