A George IV mahogany longcase clock, circa 1825
The case with breakarch hood with glazed side panels (one glass lacking, section of top lacking), with reeded front angles, later door frame, with ebony line inlaid trunk door (catch lacking), flanked by reeded angles with carved circlet above, with conforming inlay to the plinth on bracket feet, 14in. diameter white dial (cracking to paint, chapters repainted, hands later, seconds and date rings rubbed and their hands lacking), pinned directly to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; seatboard with later support -- 82½in. (209cm.) high
