A Regency mahogany longcase clock, early 19th century
The case with breakarch hood with outset brass stop fluted columns, glazed side panels, with breakarch trunk door with moulded border, on stepped plinth with conforming border to raised panel, the 12in. white dial with painted vignette to the arch of a woman holding a ship, the spandrels painted as red flowers within gilt borders, with off white centre (retouched) with Roman chapter ring and subsidiary seconds and calendar rings, dial with slight buckling to top, with false plate to the four pillar rack striking movemennt with anchor escapement, with replaced seatboard; possibly associated -- 84in. (213.5cm.) high
