Inlaid overall with boxwood lines, pewter dots and ebony marquetry bands, the rising cantilevered superstructure, activated by the cylinder bureau, with mirrored back and columns above two tambour-fronted drawers, and flanked by pigeon-holes and drawers, above a projecting, glazed door with red velvet-lined writing-surface and fitted interior with drawers and pigeon-holes, above a simulated drawer, flanked by two small drawers, above a pair of glazed doors, enclosing a shelf, with red velvet-lined interior, on hairy paw feet, the back-right foot with repaired crack
