The blade with upper flat edge and lower curving edge extending from a cuboid socket, the base of the blade inlaid with triangular and rectangular copper panels, the socket with copper inlaid lions on each side, mouth open and front right paw upraised, similar inlaid bands on the reverse, areas of corrosion, some inlay missing
