Original cloth-backed boards, paper labels on spines, replacement label tipped in at front of volume II (small tears to spines, paper labels chipped with slight loss). Provenance: Emily Abbott (presentation inscription to her husband:); George P.Abbott (inscriptions, vol.I: 'To my darling hubby/Christmas/1922/G.P.Abbott', vol.II: 'G.P.Abbott/From an admirer/Christmas 1922'); by descent.
