A mid 19th-Century small full size single cylinder two pillar beam engine,
with cylinder 1½in. bore x 5in. stroke, inward facing centrally mounted valve chest with separate steamways, studded stuffing boxes, parallel motion with wedged and cottered bearings, decorative radius links, barrelled anchor links, the cast beam running in split bearings in pierced trunnions mounted on two cast fluted columns, barrelled decorated connecting rod with forked little end and wedged and cottered big and little end+bearings, belt and gear driven Watt type governor, the crankshaft in pierced trunnions, spoked flywheel and other details, finished in maroon, green, black and polished brightwork, cast bed and wood plinth -- 26½ x 34in. (67.3 x 86.4cm.)

On the Friday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £17.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.00 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
