The body decorated with the figure of St Menas as orant, flanked by two stylized kneeling camels, the reverse with the 'Blessing of St Menas' Greek inscription within a wreath, twin handles at neck, 4 in. (10.1 cm.) high; a miniature pottery amphora with painted decoration in red and brown, rays around the shoulder and vine tendrils encircling the body, one handle repaired, 5th-7th Century A.D., 4½ in. (11.4 cm.) high; a bone doll, the stylized head with large eyes, broken away below, mounted, 4th-5th Century A.D., 2.1/8 in. (5.3 cm.) high; a late Roman or Coptic pottery model of a donkey with incised details and a central boss on each side of the body, reputedly from Oxyrhynchus, circa 3rd Century A.D., 3.7/8 in. (9.8 cm.) long; an Ethiopian baked red mud head in the form of a Tee-to-tum, with cross incised below the head, reputedly from Axuma, possibly circa 4th Century A.D., 3.7/8 in. (9.8 cm.) high; a burnished red pottery bowl with painted geometric decoration in black, the rim with single narrow ledge handle and three lug handles, 5.7/8 in. (15 cm.) diam.; a brown painted wooden female head with wide staring inlaid eyes and gaping mouth, 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; and a limestone relief carving of a stylized recumbent leopard, 2½ in.
