Lot Essay

Maria II da Gloria (1810-1853), Queen of Portugal 1834-1853, was the daughter of King Pedro I. In 1835, she married Augustus Charles of Beauharnais who died immediately and in 1835, Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg with whom she had seven children.
