A double-sided miniature of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon (1751-1825), King of Naples and his wife Queen Maria Carolina of Habsburg (1752-1814): he, in profile to the right in blue jacket with red collar, green and white striped waistcoat and frilled cravat, black stock, wearing a white top hat in his powdered hair en queue; and she, in profile to the left in claret-coloured dress with fichu, gold-bordered turquoise scarf tied in her brown hair dressed in ringlets
