Geneva, circa 1850, maker's mark 'AM'
Cartouche-shaped box, the cover centred with an oval sablé panel applied with old-cut and rose-cut diamond-studded initials with inscription '15 FEBRUARY' above and dates '1844-94' below, six further old-cut diamonds set on gold flowerheads flanking the left and right hand sides of the frosted medallion, surrounded by cast foliage, the baluster sides similarly cast with foliage on an engraved and matted ground, the base engraved with foliage surrounding an irregular engine-turned cartouche
