Cartouche-shaped box with baluster sides, the cover cast with foliage and scrolls and centred with an oval sablé gold plaque framed by a translucent red enamel rim, the centre applied with diamond-set monogram 'EA' a Royal coronet above, the sides engraved with stylized acanthus, the base engraved with a rosette within a mandorla surrounded by flowersprays, the thumbpiece cast as leaves
