The rectangular divided top with three-quarter pierced gallery, the rear half of the top hinged and enclosing a removeable divided well, the front simulated as three rows of leather-bound books, two books entitled 'MYTHOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY', three books entitled 'LACON', one book entitled 'NEC TEMERE', another 'NEC TIMIDE', another 'MUTAS', another 'INGLORIUS ARIES' and eight books entitled 'HERAPEUTACA FERRI', each row of books hinged and concealing an interior, the reverse with a pair of panelled doors to the lower half, concealing a fitted interior of two pigeon-holes and three mahogany-fronted drawers, on shaped bracket feet, lacking some pieces of leather book spine, the apron and feet later, basically first half 19th Century
