Inlaid overall with boxwood lines, the octagonal hinged top inlaid with a fan-motif centred by an oval, similarly inlaid to the reverse, enclosing a green velvet-lined open compartment, the sides inlaid with lozenges, on a square spreading shaft inlaid with simulated panels, on a concave-sided quadrapartite base and on brass caps and castors, with a paper label inscribed Hatton 51, minor restorations
