A young gentleman, facing left in blue coat and white shirt and cravat, wearing a gold watch-chain, in black frock coat, fair curly hair
in rectangular fitted red leather case with oval gilt-metal mount
oval, 2¾ in. (70 mm.) high; and four locks of hair in fitted red leather cases belonging to Elizabeth, Lady Henry Howard, hair with gold wire, circa 1835; Alan Percy Harty Molyneaux Herbert, age 4 years old, circa 1841; the Countess of Carnarvon (A. Forrer)
and another lock of hair with applied gold '55' and seed pearls, case deficient
the former inscribed and dated on attached label, the second with applied gold name and date 'Alan 1841', the latter with inscribed label
rectangular and ovals, 5½ in. (140 mm.) to 3.1/8 in. (80 mm.) high overall
