2 volumes, 2o (288 x 199 mm). Black letter, double-column, 4 title-pages within woodcut border (McKerrow & Ferguson 147a), printer's device (McKerrow 118), author's woodcut arms on versos of titles, numerous woodcuts in the text, many repeated, full sheet woodcut view of Edinburgh in volume 2 (bound in after Yyyy6), woodcut capital initials. (First title and approximately 100 leaves with margins/corners renewed, affecting the text block on approximately 30 leaves, plate of Siege of Edinburgh and second leaf in volume II supplied in facsimile, without b6 blank in volume one, some leaves closely trimmed, some browning and scattered foxing throughout). Modern brown morocco gilt, edges gilt, by de Coverly (spines faded).
