A 19th-Century black enamel and lacquered-brass theodolite,
signed on the pierced vernier arm J. CASARTELLI & SON MANCHESTER, the telescope with lens cap and rack and pinion focusing (defective) to the object glass, the vertical half-circle divided in two quadrants with single vernier fixed to the axis with two horizontal bubble levels, raised on tripod attachment with full adjustment and levelling screws, on the original oak and brass extending tripod -- 62in. (157.5cm.) high

On the Friday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £17.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.00 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
