A stagshorn pipecase carved in relief with a peasant resting on a verandah while a child plays with a daisy at his feet; rice stooks and a mountain in the background, the himotoshi in the form of a coiled dragon; the stopper inscribed Yuiraku..., signed towards the base in incised characters Ryumin with a seal Isshosai Hakumin no in (Asakusa, Edo); and an ivory pipecase carved in relief with three Chinese in a mountainous landscape by a stream, a rustic hut in the background occupied by another Chinese, on the reverse a figure tending a garden, the himotoshi formed by a pine-tree in high relief, unsigned
