Black lacquer ground; decoration in gold, aokin and red takamaki-e and gold flakes and dust, with overlay of ivory, shell and other materials; compartments and risers gold nashiji; shoulders and rims gold lacquer; signed in gold hiramaki-e underneath Shigenaga (Moei); ivory ojime with Shibayama-style insects
