Unsigned, Edo Period (Late 18th/19th Century)
Black lacquer ground; decoration in gold and silver foil, incised and crushed shell; compartments and risers gold nashiji; shoulders and rims gold lacquer; stone ojime; ivory netsuke

On one side Daikoku, God of Wealth, with his mallet and a New Year dancer, on the reverse a sprig of pine and a shimenawa [sacred straw rope]
