An unusual two-case inro, turned wood ground; decoration in gold and coloured takamaki-e simulating copper; the lower compartment with a separate tray; compartments and risers black lacquer; signed underneath in stylised characters within a square border Hanzan, old damage; lacquered ojime with flower decoration; an antique five-sen coin serving as a netsuke

A good guri-bori two-case inro, the design carved through more than nine layers of black, red and yellow lacquer; compartments, risers, shoulders and rims black lacquer; cloisonné enamel ojime
Each side with a panel of guri scrolls within a frame of Greek key motifs

Lot Essay
