A FINE EARLY ENAMELLED KAKIEMON STYLE DISH
Edo Period (third quarter 17th Century)
A vividly enamelled dish, decorated in green, yellow, red, blue and black enamels, the centre with a ho-o bird, its long tail feathers curled to form a roundel, bordered by waves and rocks, the rim with vines entwined in bamboo trellis amidst clouds, the reverse with vividly enamelled branches and iron-red circumferential lines
