Lot Essay

For many years Harrison lived and worked in Norfolk where he was a keen supporter of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. He studied at the Slade School, Oxford. Harrison made regular visits to Scotland and Iceland to observe the avifauna and he illustrated J.T. Delacour's Pheasants of the World, London, 1951 and his own book Bird Portraits, London, 1949.
