A Meissen monogrammed lobed oval two-handled tureen and cover
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark
With naturally modelled and coloured lemon and asparagus handles and artichoke, lemon and gilt scroll finial, moulded with Gotzkowsky pattern and with bouquets of scattered flower-sprays, on four gilt shell and foliage-moulded feet, the cover with the gilt and puce entwined GW monogram to each side (some minute restoration to one asparagus tip and very slight flaking to enamel of handles and one artichoke and lemon finial)

The unidentified monogram quite possibly for an ancestor of the present owners.
