Oblong and with rounded corners, the cover applied with an oval cartouche enamelled in transluscent pine green over diaper engine-turning and applied with a jewelled tughra, within diamond set border, the cover further applied with ten collet-set diamonds and engraved with foliate scrolls, the base and sides engraved with flowers and foliate scrolls on a chequered ground
3½in. (9cm.) long
The tughra is that of Abdul Aziz, 32nd Ottoman Sultan (1830-1876)
