An Edwardian carved oak quarter-chiming longcase clock, early 20th century
The hood with swan neck pediment and outset bulbous turned columns, with trunk door applied with foliate mouldings and plinth panel carved in low relief, the 12in. brass dial with painted rolling moon to the arch, conjoining gilt openwork scroll spandrels to the engraved silvered chapter ring applied with gilt Arabic chapters, strike/silent lever by 9 and seconds ring to the matted centre, with subsidiary rings above for chime/silent and Westminster/Whittington, the substantial four pillar three train movement with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on eight gongs (detached) with hour strike on further gong -- 93in. (236cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday 8 September and every week-day from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THIS SALE.
On the Thursday 14 September a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per furniture lot, and £9.25 per non-furniture lot; and a storage charge of £3.20 per furniture lot and £1.60 per non-furniture lot per day; will come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
Please note: All charges due to Cadogan Tate must be paid at the time of collection from their warehouse. Only payment by cash, credit card or bankers draft will be accepted.
