A Black Forest mahogany longcase organ clock with automata, late 19th century
The case with architectural top (cover lacking) and glazed automata viewing panel, short trunk door with moulded frame, on stepped plinth, the white painted iron convex dial with brass hands and signed G. Spiegelhatter & Co. Whitechapel Rd, the twin train movement with third weight-driven train to the side for the organ, playing music on 43 wooden pipes via 45cm long wood pinned barrel, with eight airs, hour strike on gong, with tune selection disc numbered 1-8 to the side of the case, with four automaton figures to the top (the fifth now lacking) of a Turk flanked by bandsmen -- 92in. (234cm.) high

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday 8 September and every week-day from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THIS SALE.
On the Thursday 14 September a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per furniture lot, and £9.25 per non-furniture lot; and a storage charge of £3.20 per furniture lot and £1.60 per non-furniture lot per day; will come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
Please note: All charges due to Cadogan Tate must be paid at the time of collection from their warehouse. Only payment by cash, credit card or bankers draft will be accepted.
