A Japanese circular iron dish
with flattenned slightly everted rim, decorated in silver, gilt and copper hirazogan and takazogan with cranes on a riverbank beside butterflies and a ho-o, amongst a tree issuing prunus and willow -- 14in. (36cm.) diam, 19th Century, (very minor rust and rubbing).
