A Korean rectangular lacquer document box and cover
inlaid in mother of pearl with numerous figures on terraces of pavilions, crossing bridges on foot and horseback and seated in gardens of pine, willow and rockwork in a mountainous river landscape, the sides with cartouches of birds amongst blossoming branches on a geometric pattern ground -- 16½in. x 10¼in. (42cms x 26cms), Choson Dynasty, (lacquer crackled, chips to rim, scratches and surface wear).
