A pair of Chinese painted pottery models of equestrian warriors
the moustacheod riders wearing tunics with widely flaring sleeves, breastplates and caps, one warrior facing forwards with both arms held high before him, the other warrior twisting round to the side and pointing upwards with one arm, the saddled horses standing four square and facing forwards with nostils flaring, decorated in white, black, red and blue pigments -- 12¼in. (31cm.) high, Han Dynasty, (some restoration and wear).
