A Chinese armorial baluster mug
painted and gilt with a large crest bearing three lions rampant on an iron red ground, surmounted by an arm holding a laurel wreath and above the motto 'Nec Temere Nec Timide', flanked by grisaille decorated panels of birds amongst flowering branches beneath a spearhead pattern border -- 6.3/8in. (16cms) high, Qianlong, (glaze chips to handle, cracks around top and bottom of handle, minor rim chip).
