TWO FAMILLE ROSE OCTAGONAL PLATES, A DISH AND AN INITIALLED PLATE
Mid-18th century
The centers with two peacocks courting beneath peony blooms, the border with a flower and vine scroll; together with a famille rose and underglaze red moulded shallow dish, circa 1760, painted with a Chinese lady and attendant picking flowers, enriched in gilt; and a soup bowl, circa 1785, with blue Fitzhugh type border, the center with the initials 'MJ' suspended by ribbons
