[MONROE, Marilyn]
A group of four contact sheets containing 44 images of Marilyn modeling wardrobe and hairstyles for the movie "The misfits." These are a unique group of wonderful, sweet, and candid shots of Ms. Monroe behind the scenes in prep for the film. The sheets are enclosed in the original pink envelope. "The Misfits" was Marilyn's last picture. A month after its premiere she checked into a psychiatric hospital. In the summer of 1962 seemingly recovered, she went to work on Fox's production of "Something's Got to Give, but her habitual tardiness resulted in her being cut from the picture. A month later she was found dead in her home. There is no evidence, in these pictures at least, of what is to come, unless you count the aura of vulnerability discernible in image after image. (4)
