The rectangular top veneered with a variegated white and red marble, above a panelled frieze centred by an acanthus clasp issuing floral scrolling foliage above a ribbon-twis band, domed patera to the corners, on square tapering stop fluted legs. The reverse of the frieze signed and dated faites par Besson 1793
