The circular enamel dial with Roman chapters within a gilt fluted column flanked by scrolls, the sides with gilt arabesques, surmounted by a biscuit porcelain winged putto reading a book on his lap, on a stepped breakfront moulded base and waisted tapering ormolu feet, the dial inscribed 'GASTON JOLLY A PARIS', the reverse inscribed 'Manuf.re de Guerhard et Dihl a Paris', with pendulum and winder, lacking glazing from back, small restuck chip to corner of column, two very small chips to corners of base, cherub broken from base, head and left foot restuck, repairs to toes, crack and minute chipping to book
