The Death of the Virgin
etching with drypoint, 1639, third (final) state, a good even impression of this state, watermark initials TE, with margins, a short repaired tear from the upper sheet edge to the platemark, some inconspicuous surface skinning at the upper and lower sheet edges, a pale waterstain on the reverse just showing through at the upper sheet edge, a small foxmark in the immediate foreground, otherwise in generally good conditon
