Lot Essay

This centre table is of a form typical to Ireland. The plain apron is centred by Venus's shell, while the legs are headed by elongated scrolls, and end in faceted pad feet.
A related centre table was sold anoymously, in these Rooms, 23 April 1998, lot 105.
