(Title a little browned and stained, slightly wormed at lower margin and with last two numerals in date inked in, \\h2v and \\h3r with creasemark affecting headlines, repaired tear through 8 lines on A3, shoulder note on B1v shaved with slight loss, some headlines close shaved, H4 torn at with partial loss of catch-word, a few other marginal tears, some dampstains, worming at lower margin persisting from title to quire X.) Modern speckled calf with morocco lettering-piece, gilt edges.
FIRST EDITION of this guide to herbal remedies, 'set downe in order of the Alphabet.' The main text is preceded by 'A Table of all the Simples' with page references, and followed by another table, listing each illness or disease alphabetically and the herbs used to cure it.
