Three rare editions of some of the most popular grammatical works of the early 16th-century. Robert Whittinton had been a student of John Stanbridge, author of highly influential school texts, before he too became a schoolmaster and author. His texts enjoyed a wide circulation and were printed in numerous editions. The first work is THE ONLY COMPLETE COPY OF FOUR EXTANT COPIES, the other two editions are equally rare, and are known in only two other copies each.
