Black letter. Woodcocke's device on title [McKerrow 247], woodcut ornaments. (Persistent waterstain in lower part of page, E1 with paper fault affecting shoulder notes, without final blank.) Modern fawn morocco (upper cover waterstained). FIRST EDITION OF THIS TRANSLATION. Although Fleming published a rhymed translation of the 'Bucoliks' in 1575, this is a different translation in unrhymed verse. Eclogues 1 and 2 were translated by William Webbe. STC 24817. (2)
