Cosway-style binding in 20th-century brown morocco gilt by Bayntum (Riviere), upper cover of volume I with inset hand-coloured oval portrait miniature, the miniature surrounded by a gilt-tooled border of two fillets, the outer border to this cover and the borders to all the other covers formed from gilt fillets with strapwork cornerpieces, spines in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and fourth, the others with repeat pattern in gilt, gilt turn-ins, marbled-paper endleaves, gilt edges.
