In the Louis XVI taste, the drum-shaped case flanked by figures of cavourting putto and doves raised on a nimbus, and further embellished with floral pendants, the circular white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with gilt pointers pierced with rocialle ornament, within a beaded bezel, the twin-train movement with countwheel strike on a bell, the rectangular D-end plinth with recessed frieze panels applied with conforming mounts (parts lacking)
