North Italian, probably late 16th Century
Of one piece, with almond-shaped skull rising to a stalk and encircled at the base with lining-rivets, each with brass rosette-shaped washer (some washers damaged), and narrow brim struck with the Barberini (?) mark (plume-holder missing, some pitting)
