A Breast-Plate, An Incomplete Pauldron, And A Skirt
Comprehensively mid- to late 16th Century, the first and last German, the second Milanese
The first with prominent central ridge, prominent roped turn at the neck (old repair), and pierced on the right side for a lance-rest; the second comprising four plates (old repairs) covering the upper arm, etched with bands involving foliage, martial trophies, and an angel, all against a stippled ground and with traces of gilding, and with later domed brass-headed rivets; the last of three plates each with low medial ridge, the bottom plate arched, turned and roped over the fork (each item with some pitting)
