With twist two-stage sighted barrel signed in full at the breech, engraved patent breech with platinum plug, scroll engraved tang and signed lock (hammer incomplete), figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip, scroll engraved iron mounts including trigger-plate with pineapple finial, shield-shaped silver escutcheon, horn fore-end cap, and original brass-tipped ramrod with worm (iron parts with some pitting, some wear to engraving), London proof marks

Durs Egg's business was continued after his death in 1831 by his sons George and John, and his son-in-law Frederick Nicholls Devey at 1 Pall Mall Colonnade from 1832-37. John subsequently traded under his father's name at 4 Pall Mall Colonnade between 1841 and 1865
